Romeo & Juliet headed to Shakespeare's home town this weekend to perform at The RSC Dell Openair Festival in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
And despite some changeable weather it was a roaring success.
Regular Dell blogger Guy Thornton wrote:
"Having talked to people who saw both performances, all were moved by this spectacular open-air adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. It is clear that companies appearing at the Dell are achieving exceptional levels of performance, regardless of the trials of weather and extraneous noise. This was a wonderful opportunity to see a sophisticated interpretation of Romeo and Juliet in a relaxed environment, with many fine performances worthy of wider exposure."

We've also had a glowing review from Fantasticaldom (Dominic Stevenson) who caught the show on Sunday 29th, he wrote:
"From the casting to the intelligent use of a near bare set, this production was leftfield enough to make a play that most know by heart come back to life, while still being respectful enough to the text to be applauded by traditionalists."
